Welcome to the last day of competition and the end to another step on the KPWT 2009 tour. All riders, sponsor and organizers had an out of this world celebration last night at Café Del Mar to commemorate this successful event in Tarifa.
KPWT Movistar Kite Pro Tarifa started the day with a skippers meeting at 11h00. Course Racing kicked things off, followed by the double elimination rounds for men and women. The wind had picked up nicely by 13h30 and the riders were gladly using it to their advantage. Prize giving was held at 19h00 on the stage in front of Tangana, bringing the event to a close. Trophies were handed to the top 3 placed riders within each discipline.
The KPWT team would like to thank the local organizers, Last Lap. They were always smiling and enthusiastic to help with whatever task. And proved their competence in hosting a super event at such a perfect location, Tarifa! We look forward to working with you in the future.
The next stop on the KPWT 2009 will be the Santa Cruz Ocean Spirit Super Grand Slam in Portugal on the 23rd July (Registration day)! Santa Cruz is one of the most popular places in Europe for Wave Riding and boasts perfect conditions for all water-sport enthusiasts. COURSE RACING WOMEN :
