VISA REQUIREMENTS

Most nationalities require a visa to get into China, you must visit your nearest Chinese embassy in your own country prior to travel, normally it takes a week and costs around 50 USD, if you need it quickly you can get it in one day for double the price. A single entry tourist visa is fine for this trip.

There are some countries that require a letter of acceptance from the Competition to get this visa, please contact us directly if this is the case and the necessary documentation will be sent to you.

WIND - WEATHER - WATER

The Beach is a long private beach owned by the hotel and has onshore winds and flat water. The depth is chest deep for the first 100 meters, average wind speed in November would be 18 – 20 knots starting later in the morning and building throughout the afternoon.

GETTING HERE & HOTEL INFO

Hainan is an island so it involves one more flight once you get into China. There are 2 airports in Hainan, you must fly to Haikou Airport, from there it is around a one hour transfer to the hotel, there will be a free transfer service available for riders, please make sure to send your flight details at least 3 days before your arrival.

Via Guangzhou, Shanghai or Beijing (1 domestic flight 15kg baggage limit)

The easiest and cheapest route I found was going through Guangzhou (CAN) in China, most major airlines fly to this airport and then the connecting flight is only 50 minutes to Hainan, the airline to use is China Southern Airlines for this route, although we may have a deal with Hainan airways coming up to offer free baggage charges on the domestic flight it's not set in stone and their flights are more expensive
Please note the Asian Games will be held in Guangzhou on November 12- 27, seats may fill up soon and probably get more expensive.
Shanghai and Beijing also do daily flights to and from Hainan.

Via Hong Kong (no domestic flight, normal International baggage limit)

This is probably the easiest way but more expensive, although depending on how much kit your bringing it may work out cheaper avoiding the domestic flight baggage limit when going through Guangzhou, Shanghai or Beijing.

The flight time is approx 1Hour 20 Minutes.
