Brandao and Pulido crowned Wave World Champions !

Written by Editor on . Posted in News

Guilly Brandao (BRA, Mormaii) and Gisela Pulido (ESP, Airush) have taken the 2010 world titles in wave riding after the final event held at Australias Gold Coast last week.

Even with the final 2010 event not providing any results, Brandao showed to be the most versatile rider of the year, from the small waves in Morocco to huge swell and nuking wind in Teneriffe. Mitu Monteiro (CAB, F-One) was only beaten by a few points in the end, and Ian Owczarzak Glaza (BRA, Mormaii) came into third.

In the womens fleet, Pulido finished the year with the same points as Kari Schibevaag (NOR, Ozone) and won only due to the tie breaking rules. Ainhoa Garcia (ESP, Airush) came in third.

Congratulations to all world champions !
