Written by Editor on . Posted in News

The new class rules for the course racing discipline as decided by the 2010 IKA annual general meeting are currently reviewed by the ISAF racing rules committee for implementation from 01.01.2012.

After years of rapid development of the kite course racing equipment, IKA in cooperation with its competitors, national members and manufacturers pulled the break to ensure affordable and fair competition. From 2012, all equipment needs to comply with the new box rules.

Every competitor may register per event:

1 registered series production race board with the maximum dimensions of

  • width: 70 cm
  • length: 190 cm
  • min weight: 4 kg
  • max fin length: 50 cm

plus 3 registeres series production kites with a maximum area of 19m
