Attention Racers: Development of Class and Championship Rules

In our recently published article about the meetings we had in St. Peter Ording regarding the develoment of the class and championship rules for racing we forgot to add an important topic.

All feedback we received from the riders has been forwarded to the executive committee as recommendation from the athletes, and will result in submissions made to the AGM. However, every competitor is highly encouraged to think about what has been said and reported, and to discuss it with his national kite class association.

The decisions in the end are made by the AGM, and only the national kite associations which are members of the IKA have a vote here, so if you want to change things, then get in touch with your class to ensure they are voting in your interest.

One of the main outcomes of the meetings in St. Peter Ording was that there are a lot of opinions, especially about numbers of kites and poduction equipment. We surely learned this year that 3 kites create problems for a majority of riders, so change on this specific matter is quite likely, however it is up to you riders to discuss with your representatives what a good number will be. Same for the other issues.

So again, everybody is encouraged to discuss these (and any other issues) with their representatives, and in return all national kite associations are encouraged to get in touch with their members to get their feedback.
